The winning campaigns from DMW include:
Platinum and Gold
“Better Banking DRTV Campaign” for TruMark Financial Credit Union won Platinum. And two different DRTV spots in the campaign won on their individual merits: “Better Banking/Dad” (Platinum) and “Better Banking/Mom” (Gold). Both ads ask “Who doesn’t like a little competition?” and then highlight family-friendly, smile-worthy neighborhood competition. The scenes are clearly over the top, showing (obviously) that at TruMark, “Member Banking Is Better Banking.”
“Surprising Reasons” mail campaign for Meemic won a Platinum award. Meemic (an insurer specializing in insuring the educational community) called for breakthrough creative to reenergize auto insurance policy sales. The answer was a little “creative vandalism.” DMW broke out some “virtual spray paint,” creating a self-mailer showcasing a graffiti-tagged car personalized to the reader, then highlighted the “surprising reasons” why Meemic’s unique coverage gives you more. The campaign yielded attention and results, boosting lead conversions by 26%, with a 6% increase in policies sold versus yearly average at a 54.3% lower cost-per-sale.
“You Have” DRTV spot took home Gold for a Philadelphia-area health insurer. With an original score evoking the classic “Philly Sound” from the 70s and 80s, this Medicare commercial shot in Philadelphia neighborhoods, streets, suburban towns and parks with Philly talent, connected with the local audience. Philly pride was front and center, reinforcing that the best choice for health insurance in town was the local plan in town!
“Smiles” Facebook Ad Campaign for Delta Dental was recognized with a Gold Award. Lists of those who need dental insurance simply don’t exist, so the agency had to “drill deeper” to target prospects and attract response. After developing, testing, and refining, DMW took Delta Dental beyond direct mail, first with DRTV and then digital, growing across various channels including search, display, and Facebook.
