DMW DIRECT AND THREE INSURANCE CLIENTS SHARE PRESTIGIOUS PIMA MARKETING METHODS AWARDS

WAYNE, Pa. – September 29, 2010 – Warren Hunter, Chairman of DMW Direct, announced that the agency and three of its industry leading insurance clients were honored by the Professional Insurance Marketing Association (PIMA) with Marketing Methods awards. Hunter noted that all three entries were winners in other awards competitions as well.

A Silver award was received for the DMW Direct-developed Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield "Multi-Media Medicare Campaign" entered into the "Multiple Effort Marketing Campaign" category. This winning entry consists of three direct mail lead generation packages, a television commercial, and a landing page. The objective of the campaign was two-fold: to significantly increase the number of Upstate New Yorkers who request more information about Excellus Medicare Advantage plans, and to boost enrollment in these plans during difficult economic times and in the wake of healthcare reform speculation.

A second Silver award was presented to DMW Direct for its BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina "One to Grow On" direct mail effort entered into the "Lead Generation Campaign" category. The objective was to drive the response of turning-65 Medicare supplement prospects, generating action via phone or business reply card. Not only has this entry earned a PIMA Marketing Methods award, it has advanced to Round 3 judging of the Direct Marketing Association (DMA) 2010 International ECHO Awards competition. Round 3 judging is where highly selective Gold, Silver, and Bronze winners are chosen.

Finally, a Bronze award was given to DMW Direct and Gerber Life Insurance Company in the "Ecommerce Websites" category for the "Brighter Future" website and email effort which was created to engage and involve prospects, helping them understand product benefits as they move along the decision-making process toward a sale. This entry has also advanced to Round 3 judging of the DMA 2010 International ECHO Awards competition and recently received a Benjamin Franklin Award for Direct Marketing Excellence from the Philadelphia Direct Marketing Association (PDMA).
