The 15th annual National Mature Media AwardsSM recognizes the best in advertising, marketing, and educational materials produced for older adults. The awards program, presented by the Mature Market Resource CenterSM - a national clearinghouse for the senior market - is the largest program of its kind. Entries were judged by a distinguished panel from across the United States, representing years of expertise serving the mature market.
The Test Drive direct response television commercial developed by DMW for The Hartford won a Bronze Award in the Television Advertising category of the Insurance division. Test Drive features a couple who achieves ownership of their dream car and learns, through a friend at the dealership, how they can save money on their auto insurance by switching to AARP's coverage. The spot blends high production value - important to both AARP and The Hartford brands - with a strong direct response message, including slice-of-life vignettes, an on-camera spokesman, and a strong call to action.
Also in the Television Advertising category of the Insurance division, WellPoint, Inc. earned a Bronze Award for its Big News direct response television campaign. This 60-second spot targets people with Medicare, highlighting both the "big news" about the new prescription drug coverage and the "bigger news" about an affordable new health plan with Medicare Part D built in. The objectives, which were met with flying colors, were to generate leads directly to WellPoint for mail fulfillment and to support a strong independent agent/broker channel.
