Kurt, President of Medina Associates, has over 45 years of direct marketing experience (both line and consulting), the last 27 of which have been directly involved with the 50+ marketplace. He is former Senior Vice President and head of the $75 million Senior Services Division at National Liberty Insurance (with Medicare Supplements as the lead product) and has been a consultant specializing in the mature market since 1991. In 1994 Dr. Schewe co-authored an article in American Demographics entitled "The Power of Cohorts," which helped usher in the approach of "generational cohort marketing" that has been so successful for organizations large and small. The author of over 50 articles and 13 books, including Exploring the World of Business (co-authored with Ken Blanchard) and the widely acclaimed Defining Markets, Defining Moments: America's 7 Generational Cohorts, Their Shared Experiences, and Why Businesses Should Care, Dr. Schewe has spoken extensively to executive groups and is a keynote fixture at conferences, focusing on differences between Boomers and older target market cohorts.
